Design Background

When and how did you start digital scrapbook designing? I began digi scrapbooking back in 2007, and then after much encouragement from fellow scrappers, I started designing in 2010 and haven’t stopped..

When and where do you design? I usually design anytime that I am not busy with family or working.. My computer is in the living room, which gives me a birds eye view to everything going on in my house..

What are your top 5 favorite designs?

I would say that my top 5 designs would be:

Ahh Monsters!

Learn with Me- Collab

Girly Girl

Total Boy

Boys and Girls

What is your most popular product?

I would say that my most popular product would have to be my Ahh Monsters! kit

Any scrapping tips and tricks? –Honestly, I have always just played around with things until I liked the way it looked, when it came to creating a layout. As for designing, there are a lot of thin

gs that I take into consideration now. Quality being #1, if it doesn’t look good, it’s not going to print out correctly.

What has been your biggest challenge as a designer? –Designer’s block!! Having so many ideas in your head but getting overloaded with what to do next, or getting into a slump and trying to get out of it!

What has been the biggest reward/most fulfilling part of being a designer? –Being able to meet new friends in digi land and get to know people all over the world!!

Personal stuff

Tell us a little about your family? How do they feel about you being a designer? –Well I am 26, have a boyfriend of about 6 years and a 4 ½ year old son. My family thinks it’s great that I can be creative, although my boyfriend doesn’t understand it.. lol

What does your typical day look like? –For the most part, my day consists of spending time with my son, hanging out, and then usually going to work.. Coming home, spending time with my boyfriend then heading off to bed.

If you get a free moment, what are you most likely to do? –I love to take pictures! Photography is a passion of mine

Where is your dream vacation? –Costa Rica or Ireland..

Three things you love? My family, taking pictures, designing!

And since we are Scrapping Simply, what size pages do you usually print?

When I do print my pages, since I scrap in 12x12, I also print my projects out in 12x12, although it’s not easy finding frames in that size!! lol

Thanks, Ryan! It's been such a pleasure getting to know you and your designs!

And it gets better - Ryan has provided us with a coupon code to her store :)

Use the code rosey_50off5 at her store to receive 50% off your order of $5 or more.

Good through Feb. 5, 2012

THANKS RYAN!

Design Background
When and how did you start digital scrapbook designing? I started messing around in June 2008 by reading lots of tutorials and reading a book on how to use Photoshop
When and where do you design? I design in the afternoon during “nap time” also known as TV watching time for my kids and at night when they are in bed. I design in the family room.
What are your top 5 favorite designs?

Template Kit #81-84

My Prima Ballerina Kit

What is your most popular product?

Any scrapping tips and tricks? I like to keep my pictures organized by date/event, but when they get scrapped, they go into the Scrapped folder.
What has been your biggest challenge as a designer? Sometimes it’s hard to stop designing and juggle taking care of my family. I try really hard to stick to designing during my self-allotted design time, but sometimes when the creative juices aren’t flowing, I feel like I have to catch up.
What has been the biggest reward/most fulfilling part of being a designer? I love getting my pages printed with my own designs but also knowing that there are people out there that like my designs enough to pay for them—that’s the biggest compliment.

Personal stuff
Tell us a little about your family? How do they feel about you being a designer? I have a husband, daughter (7), and two sons (5 and 2). My husband is very supportive, and although he rolls his eyes when I ask him to come see something I just finished, he’s proud of what I do. My kids ask me why I like being on the computer so much, but they like the scrapbook pages I create, especially the ones with pictures of themselves!
What does your typical day look like? I work out, get a few chores done, get the kids ready to go somewhere in the morning (usually library/movie day for the summer/playgroup/pool day/shopping day), home for lunch, nap/TV/design time, spend time with kids, do some more chores, make dinner, spend time w/ husband and kids, husband gets the kids to bed and I’m back on the computer designing, listening to TV while my husband watches.
If you get a free moment, what are you most likely to do? I love to read
Where is your dream vacation? It’s hard to pick between Hawaii and Italy
Three things you love? Chocolate, singing, laughing at my funny husband
And since we are Scrapping Simply, what size pages do you usually print? Love my 12x12 prints

Holley, thank you for sharing with us and, as promised, here is a freebie she is offering just for our wonderful customers!!!!

Designer name: Leora Sanford Designs
Where you sell your stuff: Little Dreamer Designs
Blog: http://leora-sanford.blogspot.com/

When and how did you start digital scrapbook designing? I started digi scrapbooking back in 2005 and I loved the ease and flexibility. When I starting really getting into it, I knew that designing would be next on my list to try, just because I’m like that. I designed my first kit call “Teen Closet for Girls” and was allowed to sell my designs at the place where I used to be a creative team member for. I’ve been designing for over three years now.
When (time of day) and where do you design? I’m a full-time teacher, so I can only design in the evenings and on the weekends, with the exception of summer.
How would you define your style? eclectic
What are your top 5 favorite designs?

Photo Overlays (Celebrating Light and Celebrating Color)

The Promise of Tomorrow kit

Ciao Bella Spring kit

A Year to Remember (P365 and 52 Weeks)

Cozy Christmas

What is your most popular product? Photo Overlays (Celebrating Light and Celebrating Color)
What has been your biggest challenge as a designer? I feel that finding the time to design is my biggest challenge at the moment.
What has been the biggest reward/most fulfilling part of being a designer? I love seeing the pages that are created with my products or the way that my photography tools are used…to see it all come together full-circle is very fulfilling.
Some of Leora's new products:

Personal stuff
Tell us a little about your family? How do they feel about you being a designer? I have 3 daughters (two of which are teenagers). I’ve been married to my husband for nearly 16 years. I think that because I’ve been designing for so long, it’s not a big deal to them, but they were pretty excited in the beginning.
What does your typical day look like? Mornings are hectic with three girls and myself. Trying to get us all out the door on time is a challenge. I have my mug of coffee on the way to school. I’m at school until 4:00 or 4:30 and then it’s off to figure out what’s for dinner, get kids to various activities, get myself to choir or the gym and then get the kids settled into bed. Once they are in bed, I can spend time with my designing (if I’m up to it). The flexibility of the job is nice because some days I’m too tired. If I’m not working on a designs, I’m working on promoting myself on my blog and working on other ways to market myself.
If you get a free moment, what are you most likely to do? Sleep…I LOVE to sleep.
Where is your dream vacation? Just going somewhere warm where I have the choice to relax in the sun or do some small excursions.
One thing about yourself others might not know about you? I’m a twin
Three things you love? Diet Coke, Karaoke and technology
Three things you hate? Mean people, a messy house and paying bills

And since we are Scrapping Simply, what size pages do you usually print? 12x12
Have you tried any of our other products? i.e. canvas; shadow box frames; hybrid products - bottle wrappers, bag toppers; etc. No, but I’ve been wanting to try the canvas.

Right now I'm just working on finishing some things for Summer CHA. I do have some templates I'll be releasing soon as well.
